OWU is listed on the Honor Roll of Character Building Colleges and Colleges That Encourage Character Development by the John Templeton Foundation.

National Research Council study ranks OWU 17th among 867 four-year private undergraduate institutions in number of alumni who earned Ph.D.; among the same 867 institutions, Standard & Poor's Corporation ranked OWU 15th on producing business leaders from among its graduates.

A superb honors program based on tutorials, independent study, and one-to-one collaboration with faculty.

Strong pre-professional course of study within classic liberal arts curriculum; OWU student acceptance rate to medical, dental, and other health profession post-graduate programs is 86%, over twice the national average
